Religious High schools offer an education based on Religious values. Research has shown that a religious education offers great benefits when it comes to values, academic outcomes, and cost.  In addition to Catholic schools, the Boston area has schools of Christian, Jewish and Islamic faith.  Here are some of the advantages of religious schools.

Faith-Based Education
If you’re a practicing a specific religion, you may value the faith-based education offered by religious schools.

Values
Many parents choose to send their children to a religious schools because they prefer the values taught, compared to a public or independent school setting. This includes an emphasis on service to the community and discipline. Uniforms may not be very popular with students, but studies have found some major benefits of school uniforms, including fewer discipline issues and fewer incidences of bullying.

Academic Excellence
Religious schools are known for their emphasis on academic excellence. For example, data shows that Catholic schools have a higher rate of high school graduation for minority students compared to other schools. According to the US Department of Education, 62% of Catholic school students will earn a bachelor’s degree, compared to 31% of public school graduates.

Cost
Religious school tuition is generally much lower than that of other private schools.
