Cristo Rey High School is a Catholic school located in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. It serves students between 9th and 12th grade and offers a rigorous college prep education rooted in Catholic values. The school is part of the Cristo Rey network of schools, offering very low tuition to a diverse community.

The school’s mission statement
A Catholic high school exclusively serving families of limited economic means, Cristo Rey Boston educates young people to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service. By offering a rigorous curriculum, a unique work-study experience, and the support of an inclusive school community, we prepare our students to succeed in college and beyond with the values essential to a fulfilling life.

Academics

The school focuses on providing a strong education in small and diverse classes. In the early years, students focus on the base curriculum of English, math, science, history, religion, and Spanish. Students in the upper classes can choose from various electives and are required to take at least one Advanced Placement course. The AP classes offered include AP Calculus, AP Drawing, AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP Spanish Language, AP Biology, and AP English Language Composition. Last year, 100% of the school’s graduates were accepted to four-year colleges.

The school offers a unique corporate work study program where four qualifying students together are able to hold a full-time job. Tasks performed are mostly clerical work such as filing, copying, faxing, delivering inter-office mail, data entry, reception, and general "go-for" duties. The program allows the school to keep tuition low and, at the same time, give students an opportunity to get an early introduction to the job world.

After-School Activities
Cristo Rey Boston offers a variety of sports, clubs, and other extracurricular activities, including dance clubs, drama, art, the yearbook, and student government. Additionally, the school offers the Widening Horizons Program, where a variety of unique activities allow students to explore all that the city has to offer.

Athletics
The school’s athletic programs include varsity soccer, volleyball, junior varsity basketball, varsity baseball, and junior varsity softball.
