Torit Montessori is a day school located in the heart of downtown Boston. The school serves students from the age of 2 months through elementary school and is focused on providing a Montessori-based education combined with early language training.

Overview
The school offers an education based on the concepts developed by Maria Montessori, who advocated for the education of the “whole child." Her ideas created important elements of today’s Montessori environment, such as mixed-age classrooms, some choice of activities by the student, uninterrupted large blocks of work time, discovery-based curriculum, and freedom of movement in the classroom.

The school’s mission statement...
Torit Montessori School offers a unique early education, from infancy through elementary school. We teach children in the Montessori tradition, a tradition well-researched, honed, and perfected over more than 100 years. The method teaches strong subject matter foundations, which in turn underlie the inter-disciplinary 21st century skills ranging from social interconnectedness to technological entrepreneurship.
In keeping with Dr. Maria Montessori’s own globalism and commitment to peace education, we teach our children (future citizens) the foreign languages of Arabic, Mandarin, and Spanish. Our exceptional curriculum for children is complimented by schedules and offerings designed to support busy families.

Academics
The school provides an education based on the concepts of Montessori with early exposure to languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, and Arabic. Additionally, the school emphasizes a strong foundation of critical research and technology development from infancy through elementary education.
