The mission of New Covenant School is to equip students to follow Jesus and serve in his kingdom by grounding them in godly wisdom and love and by training them to excel in a life of learning, leadership, and service.
Academics
The school’s academic programme is rooted in strong academics, character building, and spiritual development, as best described by the school’s “Six Words of Servanthood”: courage, humility, respect, integrity, seeker of God, and teachability.
Preschool: The play-based academic programme focuses on joyful learning, friendship, and character building. The programme emphasises hands-on learning to develop the fundamental learning skills required for kindergarten. The school uses The Creative Curriculum®, a scientifically-based and comprehensive curriculum and assessment programme for preschools.
Elementary: The curriculum programme is based on the Expeditionary Learning (EL) model, an instructional model, and an approach to teaching. With this programme, academic skills are acquired in the context of doing meaningful and relevant work. This can mean the addition of expert resources, fieldwork, and real-life applications. Some expeditions are also designed to serve real community needs.
After-School Programmes
The school offers a number of after-school enrichments, including music and voice, cooperative games, science and discovery, arts and crafts, cooking, dance, and outdoor and indoor play.
