The International School of Boston (ISB) is a bilingual and multicultural school located in Cambridge, MA, and serves students from preschool to high school. Although the school focuses on educating students in both the French and American school systems, there are students from over forty different countries and faculty and staff representing more than a dozen nationalities, making the school truly international.

Founded over 50 years ago, the mission of the school is to educate students to speak and think in multiple languages. The curriculum of the school is distinctly bilingual and combines the best of the creative and rigorous French school system with the excellence of the American system. Being multilingual and understanding multiple cultures, students should have all the tools they need to be successful in a truly global world.

In preschool and kindergarten, students are gently prepared for the elementary grades. Children can safely explore the world around them through art, music, and drama. Students learn to write numbers and words in both English and French. The curriculum covers both French and Massachusetts standards.

In the lower school (grades 1–5), students start to build a strong bilingual foundation in reading, writing, mathematics, sciences, social studies, the arts, information technology, and physical education.

In middle school, students are prepared academically and emotionally for the more rigorous pace in high school. All classes are taught in French and English. Classes are enriched with field trips, interdisciplinary projects, and overnight trips.

Finally, in the upper school, students are being prepared to thrive in any university or college in the world.

Extracurricular activities are offered by clubs and activities appropriate to each grade level. There are many such clubs, including archery, art, chess, cartooning, gardening, jewelry making, puppet making, yoga, and much more.

The school offers sports such as interscholastic athletics as well as club sports. Boys and girls varsity teams include soccer, basketball, and fencing. Club sports include archery, basketball, fencing, swimming, table tennis, and yoga.
