Boston University Academy (BUA) is a college preparatory high school located on the campus of Boston University. The school is for academically talented, bright boys and girls and has established itself as a top-notch college preparatory school. The school makes use of the vast resources of the parent university. Admission is very selective.
The school was founded in 1993 to allow talented students to take advantage of the vast educational and athletic resources of a major university. Today, the school has over 150 students and has established a reputation as a high-caliber college preparatory school with an excellent record of student accomplishments and college placement.
BUA’s academic program is very demanding and combines a classical liberal arts foundation with unique classes in the university system. This allows students to gain foundational knowledge and, at the same time, pursue particular interests at advanced levels.

The academy offers a variety of competitive team sports. Students are encouraged to get involved in its after-school athletics program, regardless of prior experience. Sports offered are soccer, cross-country, basketball, crew, fencing, tennis, and ultimate frisbee.
