Nativity Preparatory School is a small accredited middle school located in Jamaica Plain,MA. It is a Jesuit school for boys of all faiths. The school is tuition-free and serves low-income families residing in Boston.
With the help of experienced teachers, volunteers, and parents, students are prepared for a successful transition to high school and college. The school is highly structured and academically challenging, trying to instill a love of learning as well as a sense of responsibility for their community. In the Jesuit tradition, the school promotes intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical growth. The success of the school is well documented since, over the last 24 years, more than 99% of students have graduated from high school and more than 80% have enrolled in college.
Academics are the focus of the school, with the goal of preparing students for demanding high school and college programs. Important elements of the program include:

Students are regularly taken on field trips to the Boston Museum of Science, Freedom Trail, Plumoth Plantation, New England Aquarium, and various theater and art museums.
Participation in sports is required for all students every day from 3:30 to 5 p.m., and special focus is given to good sportsmanship and team participation. Sports offered include soccer, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse. Varsity teams compete against local middle schools, and intramural matches are offered for the remaining students.
During the winter, students perform in dramatic productions or learn new skills in music, arts, crafts, cooking, student government, community service, chess, and Scrabble.
